Buyers of Aramco receive full April volumes, but there's a reduction in the supply of heavy crude

According to sources familiar with the matter, Saudi Aramco intends to maintain full crude oil volumes for most Asian buyers in April.

However, due to ongoing oilfield maintenance, they will decrease the supply of heavier oil to Chinese and Indian customers. This reduction follows the recent decision by OPEC+ to extend voluntary oil output cuts into the second quarter.

In India, at least one buyer received their requested volumes, albeit with a reshuffling of grades and reduced supply of heavier crude, although the specifics regarding the extent of reduction and affected oilfields are not immediately available.

Saudi Aramco's response to inquiries regarding these matters is pending. Additionally, it is worth noting that Saudi Aramco unexpectedly increased prices for heavier grades in April, thereby narrowing the price difference with lighter grades.
